Broga Hill, Semenyih on 27.02.2011

Finally... for the second time I reached at the top of Broga Hill today. I supposed to be there yesterday but funny thing happened to me and the plan was cancelled. For this time, Krol, his friend and me  start the hike quite late.  Three of us going up at 7.45AM and went down at 9.45AM. 

I will update the picture later as my old Digital Camera did not help me to capture the moment. Something wrong with the camera and need to fix it soon. Luckily Krol bring his DSLR and I take the opportunity to learn how to use it. I just snap! Snap! Snap! and snap! I wish I have my own. Anyone on my birthday???  :D

My Aunt died this past January. Citibank billed her for February and March for their monthly service charge on her credit card, and then added late fees and interest on the monthly charge... the balance had been $0.00... Now it was somewhere around $60.00.

I placed the following phone call to CitiBank:

Me: 'I am calling to tell you that she died in January.'
CitiBank: 'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'
Me: 'Maybe, you should turn it over to collections'
CitiBank: 'Since it is 2 months past due, it already has been.'
Me: 'So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?'
CitiBank: 'Either report her account to the frauds division, or report her to the credit bureau maybe both!'
Me: 'Do you think God will be mad at her?'
CitiBank:'... excuse me... ?'
Me: 'Did you just get what I was telling you... the part about her being dead?'
CitiBank: 'Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor!' (Supervisor gets on the phone)
Me: 'I'm calling to tell you, she died in January.'
CitiBank: 'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'
Me: 'You mean you want to collect from her estate?'
CitiBank: '.....(stammer)' '....Are you her lawyer?'
Me: 'No, I'm her great nephew.' (Lawyer info given... )
CitiBank: 'Could you fax us a certificate of death?'
Me: 'Sure.'
(Fax number is given)
(After they get the fax.)
CitiBank: 'Our system just isn't setup for death'
Me: 'Oh... '
CitiBank: 'I don't know what more I can do to help..'
Me: 'Well... if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her... I suppose... Don't really think she will care....'
CitiBank: 'Well... the late fees and charges do still apply.'
Me: 'Would you like her new billing address?'
CitiBank: 'That might help.'
Me: 'Nilai Memorial Park Cemetery ( North South Highway and plot number given.)
CitiBank: 'Sir, that's a cemetery!'
Me: 'What do you do with dead people on your planet?'

Just watched Bersamamu TV3 and my tears could not be hold... Yes, man does cries. 

Saya sangat tersentuh dengan penderitaan Hairuman Bin Miskon dan ketabahan seorang kakak, Maryuni Bt Miskon. Hairuman terkena renjatan eletrik ketika melakukan kerja-kerja mengambil upah mengait kelapa sawit di Jalan Masjid Baru, Tanjung Karang, pada 26 November 2010. Akibat daripada itu, kedua-dua belah tangan dan juga kaki kiri  beliau terpaksa dipotong. Badannya 50% melecur. 

Keadaan Hairuman semasa masih baru

Beliau merupakan anak yang telah kematian ibu dan bapa sejak berusia 5 tahun dan melakukan kerja-kerja tersebut bukan sahaja demi menyara kehidupan beliau sendiri malah untuk adik-beradiknya yang tercinta. Beliau adalah anak ke-4 dari 6 orang adik-beradik. Dua dari kakaknya adalah OKU. Kini, hanya kakak dan abang iparnya sahaja yang dapat menampung keluarga.

Saya telah mengikuti perkembangan  Hairuman melalui media massa dan internet sejak dari hari pertama kes ini dipaparkan tetapi masih tak dapat berpeluang untuk melakukan lawatan ke Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), Klang. Diharapkan, entri ini dapat memberi sedikit sumbangan demi Hairuman.

What Business Should I Start???

Hah... Look at the emoticon. Now you know what happened to me right now. Perhaps, you can help me with the ideas. I really need help with this badly. I suppose to start last year in 2010 but nothing was done. 2011 has come and i should start right away. No more delay. Instead, it's already February!

Few ideas already considered and I hope I can come out with something this coming weekend. 

Three Little Words

I hope, I was not too late to wish all my Chinese friends a Happy Chinese New Year. And as Malaysian, I took this opportunity to take only 2 days Annual Leave (Monday and Wednesday) to total up the leave to 9 days including Saturday, Sunday and Federal Territory Public Holiday on Tuesday just to be with my 73 years old beloved mother at kampung. So grateful for being Malaysian.

By the way, I received a really beautiful e-mail last night from someone that has been missing for quite sometime and I think it is good to share with you guys too. Enjoy
