ATM users be cautious

I received this forwarded e-mail from one of my friends. I am not sure weather it is true or not but in my opinion, we better take this as caution.

Dear All,

I would like to share a real life story with all my friends and especially all my colleagues and all Maybank account holders.

This incident happened on today evening (1 April 2008). I went to the PJ State (Also known as PJ New Town) Maybank to withdraw RM500. Unfortunately for me, only 9 RM50 notes came out instead of 10.

What happened was, one of the RM50 notes was folded exactly in half and placed at a corner of the stack (Please refer to the attached pictures showing how two RM50 notes can be counted as three).

I was so upset because I have no proof that the ATM did not give me the correct amount. After much hesitation, I finally decided to call Maybank to complain about the incident knowing that I may not get back my money. But at least I can caution them of such incident. When I told of my situation to the Maybank Customer Service Representative, to my surprise, I was informed that I ' m not the first victim. It seems that similar cases have occurred before. The lady explained that it is the malfunction of the ATM and the money may accidentally get folded in half. However when questioned, she was unable to explain to me why the money can be folded exactly in half and placed nicely in the corner of the stack.

I believe this is the new technique of cheating money, done by the people who are responsible of placing the money into the ATMs. In the stack of money which is to be placed into the ATM, one RM50 note is folded nicely in half, for every one note taken out of the stack of money. The folded RM50 notes are then placed at the edge of the stack and positioned in the ATM where the money would be counted. With that done, every one folded note would be counted by the machine as two notes.

I may be wrong about how and why it happened, but I would like to warn everyone about this incident. Please be careful when withdrawing money from the ATM (it may happen to other banks as well) and do count your money to be sure. If such an incident really happened to you (*touch wood*), please do call up the bank to complain about this. If everyone keeps quiet about this, the bank may be unaware of such incidents and the people responsible may just continue doing what they do without getting caught! Even if it is actually because of the ATM malfunctioning, the bank should know about this and there is also a chance of you getting your money back.

Better safe than never!

Best Break-Off Letter Ever

A soldier stationed in Afghanistan recently received a letter from his girlfriend back home. It read as follows:

Dear Ricky,

I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I must admit that I have cheated on you twice, since you've been gone, and it's not fair to either of us.

I'm sorry.

Please return the picture of me that I sent to you.

The soldier, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow soldiers for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters or ex-girlfriends. In addition to the picture of Becky, Ricky included all the other pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies. There were 57 photos in that envelope.... along with this note:

Dear Becky,

I'm so sorry, but I can't quite remember who the hell you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me.

It has been a traditional theory that ladies are not suppose to wash their hair during their period.

But there are no solutions to the question why?

The victim will only realise at their later stage of their life, facing the symptoms of breast and ovary cancer.

Today ladies still wash their hair during their period with the thinking that they will be safe if they blow dry their hair. But this will not prevent them from getting the cancer. Please read the article below:

A well known Taiwanese medical professor specialise in cancer research based in a Japanese university did a survey on 30,000 pre cancer patients.

She found these patients are very choosy in their food, wash their hair during their period and carry heavy object and drink cold drinks. This will cause the incomplete of ovulation and the remaining menses will turn into toxic and the imbalance of hormone will lead to ovary and breast cancer.

During the research she found the method of prevention to these cancer.

The secrets are;


One must change their lifestyle and eating habits.

Do not wash our hair while having period, do not wash your hair just for the cooling effect and contraction of ovary.

Excessive bleeding must be investigated by a gynae.

No cold drinks.

If you feel drowsy, breast expansion and constipation, these are the early symptom of ovary or breast cancer.

To prevent use:

Black sugar

Chinese lotus (leng ngau)

Carrot and Barley

Boil to soup and drink. This is the best prevention.

Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) membantah tindakan penayangan filem FITNA oleh ahli Parlimen Belanda, Geert Wilders yang secara terang – terangan menghina Al – Quran.

Tindakan biadap dan keji ini merupakan satu bentuk penghinaan terhadap umat Islam di seluruh dunia dan perlu dikutuk oleh semua masyarakat Islam di negara ini. Tindakan tidak bertanggungjawab serta boleh mengeruhkan keamanan dunia dan perhubungan di antara agama ini perlu dibantah oleh masyarakat pengguna Islam.

PPIM bersama dengan ahli Majlis Permuafakatan Antara NGO (MAPAN) menggesa masyarakat pengguna Islam di negara ini melancarkan boikot terpilih produk keluaran Belanda bagi menyuarakan bantahan secara aman terhadap penghinaan serta provokasi ke atas agama Islam.

Boikot terpilih ini diharapkan akan berjaya menghantar isyarat yang jelas kepada pihak yang berkenaan agar tidak melakukan perkara yang biadap ini kepada sesiapapun dan belajar menghormati sesama manusia demi mewujudkan masyarakat dunia yang cintakan keamanan.

Kempen Boikot 3 produk, terpilih ini Shell, Dutch Lady, Philips akan membolehkan semua masyarakat pengguna Islam di Malaysia dan seluruh dunia menyuarakan bantahan secara aman dan melakukan sesuatu bagi mengutuk serta membantah tindakan biadap serta terkeji ini.

Kempen boikot terpilih ini adalah juga sebagai tanda protes terhadap Ahli Parlimen Belanda Geert Wilders yang jelas menghina Islam secara terang – terangan. Tiada gunanya kita bersikap agresif bagi menyuarakan bantahan tetapi PPIM yakin boikot terpilih produk Belanda ini akan menghantar satu mesej yang jelas bahawa jangan mempermainkan sensitiviti dan maruah umat Islam. Justeru, masyarakat pengguna Islam di Negara ini perlu bangkit dan lebih bijak mempertahankan hak dan maruah kita dengan bijaksana.
