The Story of Appreciation

A lesson/motivation to all of us….
A nice story that we all could learn from….!
One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.

He passed the first interview, the director did the last interview, made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never had a year when he did not score.
The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the
youth answered "none"
The director asked, " Was it your father who paid for your school fees?" The youth answered, "My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.
The director asked, " Where did your mother work?" The youth answered, "My mother worked as clothes cleaner. The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.
The director asked, " Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?" The youth answered, "Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.
The director said, "I have a request. When you go back today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.
"The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to the kid.
The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.
That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.
Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.
The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked: " Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"
The youth answered, " I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'
The Director asked, " please tell me your feelings."
The youth said, Number 1, I know now what is appreciation. Without my mother, there would not the successful me today. Number 2, by working together and helping my mother, only I now realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done. Number 3, I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationship.
The director said, " This is what I am looking for to be my manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired.”
Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, may be successful for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of achievement. He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying the kid instead?*
You can let your kid live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.

You would have forwarded many mails to many and many of them would have back mailed you too...but try and forward this story to as many as possible...this may change somebody's fate!

Hello everyone :)

Hello everyone.

Firstly, thanks to everyone for keep on coming here. To Kak Halima, I'm here but for a while only :). Still not ready to back in track

It is almost a month and new year just a round the corner and this blog was presented with no new update. I am sorry for the lazy me as the life currently are not on my side eventough I enjoy every moment spent. The hectic time mood started since early of December with my working life, travelings, relatives, weddings and so on. I know and aware of the plans earlier but never thought that it is so tiring. I usually easily fall in sleep, really deep sleep anywhere and anytime and need to put Damaipeace aside to find a peaceful time for myself.

Just now I had my lunch packed from Kyros Kebab KLCC infront of my office laptop while doing this typing. I miss doing blogwalking, reading, commenting, communicating with others in this bloggering world and learning new thing.

I'm not smoking. Please do not smoke too...
I hope the hectic time will end soon and the new year will come with a great blast.

BLOG REVIEW: WARLORD'S ARMORY - Since July 2009

If you want to know, this is one of my favorites blog. I keep waiting on the latest entry everyday just to read what has been done by him that day. Normally, new posting will published at night and almost of the postings is originally wrote  by bro Hairil to share what he did, saw and went with his family on that day.  And amazingly, the places is just all around me and one day I bet that we will coincidently meet somewhere and sometime. Kudos to you bro!

Yeah, from the blog also, I knew that Hairil, a father of his daughter and good husband to his wife is a person that full of imagination. Judge by yourself! Read more on Webcam Exploration (jangan marah aaa.... heheheh)

What do you think?
And the most attractive and effective character created I believe successfully presented via the cute creative Mr. Harry. Who is that guy? Well, he is Hairil's himself in a cute comic character. If you go through his blog, you can find some of his critics was done via comics and I personally quite impress of his talent. If he commercialize the comics I'm sure it will boom all the magazines and newspaper in this country :p.   Read further in "Come and Meet Mr. Harry" & "Hey, No farting!"

Another unique about Warlord's Armory, there is also a section for Hairil to personally greet and introduce all his new follower one by one. As his 34th Follower, I was also being reviewed and well introduced in "Warlord's Armory 34th-36th Followers" that was published on 26th August 2010.

As the Top Commentators for last week (actually all the times currently), Hairil always give his comment and thought on my posting. I do really appreciates all of his comment. Deep inside me, you don't know how far I feel. And from this I understand that, while reading any articles in any blogs, try your best to leave a comment. Not only your link will permanently stay there (if not being deleted), indirectly will show your moral support to the writers/bloggers. So, please keep on leaving your comment instead of only in Cbox/Shout Mix/Chat Box.

Enough for this time and I should stop before Hairil will blown away by my words:D

BLOG REVIEW: MOH KEMBARA – Berkisar Tentang Kembara, Insan dan Peristiwa

image
  • Blog’s Name: Moh Kembara
  • Blogger’s Name: Kak Halima / Cikgu / Yong
  • Followers: 164 and still counting
  • Available since: 25 April 2010
  • Total posting: 98
  • 1st posting: Salam Kembara
  • Ads availability: Yes (Amazon.Com, Mangga Ad, Admaxserver and own Ads space for rent with minimum fees)
Honestly, I could not remember when was the 1st time I managed to visit the blog. But the thing that make me always remember this blog and I believe some of you also feel the same is this below cool profile picture. It is cool, isn’t it?

image

I don’t know her full name. I do not know where she came from, where she lives and what she did for living. I just know about the blog a weeks ago while doing my blog walking. And since then, I always saw her keep on commenting my posting  and yes, she always drop by here to free her mind, I guess Smile with tongue out

First of all, I call the owner of the blog as ‘kak’. Sometime I do call her Kak Moh Kembara and cikgu. ‘Moh’ is actually one word from Perak’s dialect. It can be translated same as let’s go, come, mari, jom and others. While Kembara means travel, wander, jelajah, tour and others. The name of the blog seems really suit with Kak Moh as she loves travelling. From her blog you may know that, Kak Moh has been in Japan, Sabah, Istanbul, and other places and that’s why she invited us to go for travelling.

image

The  fascination

Eventough I newly knew about the blog and Kak Halima/Cikgu/Yong, I often give a visit to her blog. Kak Halima regularly give a comment in my Cbox and in my posting with an honest comment and I feel very comfortable with that. She is so friendly and I bet, she treat everyone the same. These are the characteristics of a blogger who has a good ethical in cyber that should be emulated by others.

I love the way she wrote. It’s full of impression and sometime quite funny as she regularly used Perak’s dialect in her expressions (Its make me smile too while reading heheh..)

“Bebudok ni heran ape ke heh mokcik ni amik gambor deme. Kalau teman tak bukak mulut, deme kat sana pikior teman orang deme! Kalau deme tau teman orang asing, deme sebut "Yabanci" maksudnya Orang Asing. Tapi deme idok ler syak wasangka pada orang asing”

Ok guys! Don’t waste your time any longer. Just give Cikgu/Kak Halima a visit and do not forget to send my regards to her Open-mouthed smile

That’s all for now. Take care

Are you the eraser or the pencil?

Pencil: I'm sorry....

Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.

Pencil: I'm sorry cos you get hurt bcos of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.

Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad. :)

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They're always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way... they get hurt, and become smaller (older, and eventually pass on). Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad.

This is for all parents out there... : )

Movie Review: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 at GSC One Utama

First of all, a special dedication to kyle.  I had really an enjoyable moment eating the GSC pop corns while watching the movie with my friends. It was such a sweet memories having the sweet caramel pop corns when knowing someone is shivering to have some. I know how much you misses the smell, the taste, the crunches and the feel when holding the hard and soft pop corns itself. And therefore, this is for you Kyle... I am sorry. I finished my Pop Corns before I realize that I need to snap the picture for you. It is too tasty! So I googled it for you hahahhahaha...

Back to the movie, as the Harry Porter's follower since the 1st sequel, I realize that all the characters has grown up from a sweet cute little girl and boy to a sweet attractive girl and charming matured boy. Yes, I enjoyed every moment of the movie. I love the way they flying across a sudden attack by the evil Lord Veldermort mans, a beautiful satisfying emotional among the three best friends and actually the emotion keep playing around from the beginning to the end. The most deeply touched me was when the cute helpful Dobby died while helping to escape Harry, Ron and Hermione. The lovable house elf who was so helpful (in his own way) to Harry in The Chamber of Secrets plays a major role in HP7 and it’s nice to see him get his very own big character in this sequel.

Dobby, the house Elf

In this seventh and final installment of the beloved Harry Potter series, Harry faces new troubles; he must collect all of the Horcruxes that the evil Lord Voldemort has left behind. He has no idea where these are and he has to destroy them all but finally he found one. Although it was so hard, he manage to destroy the one that he found with the help of Ron using  a special sword a gift from died Dumbledore. Unfortunately, Lord Veldemort had found the super powerful magic wand that was buried with Dumbledore. With the magic wand,  it is believed that Voldemort cannot be defeated.

And the first episode comes to an end....

Satisfied with the movie and I was hoping that they can finished both episode in the same night! Yes I know, I can finish it  through reading the novels but the feel will not be the same anymore.

My own personal rating: 8/10
You?

Aidil Adha: Another celebration among Muslims all over the world

Muslim celebrates Aidil Adha as token of gratitude, grateful to divine where the victory is not only in the pilgrimage alone, but it will more of it is related to an incident that occurred in the Muslim’s history.

Aidil Adha or Hari Raya Haji is celebrated in festivals around the world. It is the largest in the Muslim festival Eid is celebrated on the other every 1 Syawal. Aidil Adha is celebrated on the day of the 10, 11, 12 and 13 months of Dhul-Hijjah every year. Takbir Aidil Adha begins with the night 10-Hijjah, followed by prayers and the Aidil Adha sermon (khutbah) in the morning 10-Hijjah, the response was followed with a sacrifice can be performed either on 10 or 11 or 12 or day 13-Hijjah.

Aidil Adha is a special celebration because it is a day for Muslims to commemorate the sacrifice story of Ibrahim in the fulfilment of God's commandments and to-impatient son Ismail in order to meet Allah SWT.

In addition, one of the privileges of Aidil Adha and the Day Tasyrik victims were worship. Rituals of sacrifice can only be done in four days after the start time of the preacher delivered a sermon before the Aidil Adha until the sun sank on the 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah.

In terms of language, meaning close to the victim, while in terms it means the exercise of religious orders or obey the commands of God because he wants to draw closer to Him.

Sacrifice Feast falls on the tenth day of the month-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic Hijra calendar. 10 Hijjah is an important date in the history of Islam where Prophet Adam and his wife Hawa were removed from heaven and down to earth before the meeting at Arafat, outside the city of Mecca .

Healthy cow, one of the animal that can be sacrificed

On the day, circumcised Muslims wearing the most beautiful, cleanest, and also wearing perfume. On the morning of the feast of sacrifice, the Muslims will perform Hari Raya prayers of two rakaats. Normally the Aidil Adha prayers accelerated slightly compared with Eid prayers. Accelerated a bit of wisdom Adha prayers are to give more time to slaughter the sacrifice. A little wisdom passed Eid prayers will be to allow an opportunity for those who are not fulfilling their obligation to pay zakat and desirable to eat before going to the mosque.

However for the Aidil Adha, the wisdom of the next meal is desirable that the first food eaten on that day is a blessing meat. After prayers, the sacrifice will be initiated. Cows, goats, and sheep are sacrificed to be slaughtered before distributed to the public, especially to those in need.

The meat will be distributed to poor people

Hari Raya Haji is celebrated when Muslims make the pilgrimage to Mecca, to visit the Kaabah and sacrifices. Al-Quran does not say, but the Muslims hold that this festival commemorates the sacrifice Ibrahim's willingness to give his son as a sacrifice to God.

Also known as Hari Raya Haji is celebrated when Muslims make
the pilgrimage to Mecca

After the prayer, Muslims will once again flock to cemeteries to visit loved ones. Everyone will be wearing new clothes, the young will ask forgiveness from the parents and after that everyone will touch a variety of dishes prepared before visting each other.

Salam Aidil Adha 1431 H / 2010 from me
